Hi!

I’m Emma Childs, a fashion journalist in Brooklyn, NYC. Currently, I’m a fashion news writer at The Cut and the author of Childs Play on Substack.

Previously, I was the fashion features editor at Marie Claire, where I covered trends, personal style, and fashion-pop culture crossovers. Before that, I wrote fashion news for The Zoe Report. I studied New Media & Digital Design and Fashion Studies at Fordham University Lincoln Center, and grew up on Cape Cod, MA. I’ve also dabbled in photography and art direction.

When I’m not hunched over my laptop, I’m vintage shopping, reading literary fiction, and trying to befriend bodega cats.
