Hi!

I’m Emma Childs, a fashion editor living in Brooklyn, NYC.

I’m currently the fashion features editor at Marie Claire, where I cover trends, personal style, and fashion-culture crossovers. Topics range from reports on Silly Little Pouches and pickpocket-friendly bags; fashion news coverage on feral designer collabs and the lack of female creative directors in luxury fashion; and pop culture fashion moments across TV (Industry) and music (Chapell Roan and Zara Larsson). (Oh, and one time, I wrote an exclusive with Summer House’s Amanda Batula, weeks before the scandal broke.)

I’ve been at MC since September 2022. Previously, I wrote trend reports and style articles as MC’s style editor and fashion news for The Zoe Report. I studied New Media & Digital Design and Fashion Studies at Fordham University Lincoln Center, and grew up on Cape Cod, MA. I’ve also dabbled in photography and art direction.

When I’m not writing about Chanelmania and Mary Jane sneakers, I’m reading literary fiction and trying to pet bodega cats.
